OK so we have a free Blog with Bigpond. Now to use it.
Shotley boy ... Why ?? Well we had to find a name that is unique to Bigpond a,d John was in Shotley Navy training establishment HMS Ganges at Shotley in the 1950's so oooooo .
We have retired to Narooma NSW. We came from Denmark Western Australia where we had a small property on which we bred alpacas. Sold up the lot, May 2006 and did our final Gold prospecting trip in WA on the way over to Narooma.
Narooma has the worlds second most temperate climate ... and the best in Australia.
We bought a Coaster Bus in May 2007, imported from Japan as a Motorhome, but not to our liking so ..... no to refit it without spending squillions.
First off, we went to Melboiurne where we discovered the "muffler" noise was in fact a blown head gasket, and the radiator also needed to be replaced .... Add on the new fridge, awning , window tinting, buying new stove and kitchen sink, enough plywood, shower base ......................... No wonder we are going to do the refit ourselves.
August 9th 2007. Well, the bedroom , boot, kitchen framework, one chestof drawers and pull out cupboard completed. Elaine has the upholstery for diner/lounge done and most of the curtains will be up this week.
Soon we shall have to spend the cash on gas fitting and electrics .... things we cannot handle. But we are really hanging out to do a trip or two. Aim is a week Canberra in September.
Anyway this is all for the first attempt at a blog. This may save me doing a newsletter this year.
Be careful out there, and
Be well and happy
Johnno
